In recent years early childhood development has been a hot topic in education. What happens in a young child’s life between birth and 5 years old, will lay the foundation for his/her future. In these formative years, kids’ spiritual foundation is also being formed by establishing trusting relationships with loving and nurturing people.
The early childhood education program covers infants, toddlers and preschool age kids. Young babies and crawlers are loved and cared for in the infant nursery, while the older more active kids in the toddler class are introduced to songs and dance, Bibles stories and prayer.
The preschool class nurtures kids, ages 3 and 4, on their journey of experiencing God’s love and learning to recognize His voice. While kids hearts are receptive and eager to learn about God, their bodies are in constant motion. This class time has a lot of free play time with 15-20 minutes of teacher directed time including a simple Bible story, songs, prayer and snack time. Each week kids receive a sticker and a take-home sheet that helps parents continue to journey at home. Check it out and try some of the ideas that will help reinforce the weekly Bible lesson.
