Hosting a TAble:
Would you consider leading a table?
Hosts model an ancient practice started by Jesus and carried through centuries of church history- opening our hearts and homes to friends and strangers. Hosts model and create space for people to connect, practice making and keeping commitments, and learn from each other. In short, hospitality opens our hearts and imaginations to learn how to belong to each other. Hosts help us build a culture of people who are deeply connected, receive the stranger, and participate in the in-breaking kingdom of God.
We would love to come alongside you and help you provide a space and environment where people can grow toward each other and toward Jesus.

What we are asking:
Would you:
Commit to hosting 6-10 people for 5 weeks (preferably in a home, but it doesn’t need to be yours)?
Commit to providing or coordinating some kind of food for the first week?
Commit to coordinating with your members a plan for food that honors everyone and works for everyone at your table?
Choose what day and time you host?

When are tables happening?
Our hope is that Spring tables meet:
- The weeks of March 9, 16, and 23
- The week of April 6
- Final Spring Table gatherings the week of April 20 or April 27
- No tables the week of March 30! This a week of rejoicing, with opportunities to participate throughout the week.
- No tables the week of April 13! This is Holy Week, with opportunities to participate throughout the week.
What are we expecting from a table host?
- This spring, as we journey through Lent, we will provide weekly Table conversation guides. The primary purpose of tables is to facilitate connection and community among the people of Westwinds.
- You will not be expected to find people to fill your group but you are welcome to invite 2 or 3 people if you would like.
- We do expect that you would be a good host and do your best to make everyone feel welcome.
- We expect there to be food. It doesn’t have to be a meal or be complicated, but there is something sacred and special about eating together. We think that matters.
