Jesus’s Table

Jesus’s Table

One of the Practices That Helps Us Center Jesus

On the night he was betrayed (Luke 22), Jesus gathered his friends around bread and wine and offered them grace.

That invitation still stands.
This is Jesus’ table. If you’d like to be here, he’d love to have you.

Central to our understanding of Jesus is that we are created for community and connection.
We’re learning to belong here—and to extend that same welcome in our daily lives. We do this in all kinds of ways, but we think one of the most effective ways is by gathering around a table.

Communion
In John 13, Jesus shared a table the disciples— gave bread and wine and grace— even to Judas and Peter, knowing they would soon betray and deny him.

We practice an open table at Westwinds.
This means that if you’d like to participate in communion— if you’d like to be at His table— Jesus would love to have you.
Communion is always gluten-free and alcohol-free.

Connect Intentionally With Someone This week
Call someone this week, or invite someone over for dinner or coffee.  Set your intention to be fully present.
