Maundy Thursday
In observance of the fifth day of Holy Week, we invited people to share a meal with their family.
What did people there hear God saying to them?
“We are stronger and happier when we are together, connecting as a community.”
“If we open our hearts to truly listen to others it becomes easier to love as Jesus commanded us to do.”
“Love is active and communal.”
Maundy Thursday is the day that Jesus ate a final meal with his friends. The word “maundy” means command. It refers to Jesus’ commandment for his disciples to love each other. That command applies to us! As Christ loves us, so we love one another.
The world needs the gifts you are uniquely suited to give. Give those gifts to others, so that you might become known by your love.
It’s time to take up your identity as a saint.
